My affinity for languages began to take shape while I was still in high school, where I took classes in English, French and Spanish. This excessive pursuit of foreign languages had to be curtailed a bit when I had to sacrifice Spanish in favor of the specialized courses in English and French. After passing my university entrance exam and completing my alternative civilian service and training as a banker, I began studying to become a graduate translator at the University of Applied Sciences in Cologne and promptly began a 3-month internship at Rheinschrift upon submitting my thesis at the end of June, 2006. Since I wasn’t ready to give up university life after my internship, I pursed an MA as a specialist translator (also at the University of Applied Sciences in Cologne) and I continued working during this time as an intern at Rheinschrift.

Exactly one year after my thesis, I completed my masters and I have been working as a full-time translator at Rheinschrift since July of 2007. The fascination of this profession only hits you after you make the transition from
