Nicole Stangier

After completing my degree at the University of Mainz (Germersheim) as a translator of English and Russian early in 1998, I worked at a large software localization agency in Ireland, where I gained valuable experience as a translator in that industry. I returned to Germany a year later and since I enjoyed working in the software localization industry, I stayed with it and worked as a project manager at a Bonn-based localization agency.

Since July of 2000, I have had the opportunity to combine translating and project management in an ideal way at Rheinschrift. I especially enjoy working in a team whose members work well together and who can always be relied on and I also enjoy the direct contact with our customers. Constant communication is indispensable in this kind of work if we are to process their projects to their complete satisfaction.

Software localization is a constant challenge, not only because of the diversity of the topics but also because of the many different and newly developed tools that we use for translating.
