... At Rheinschrift, I can acquire new knowledge every day and further develop my skills ... After studying to become an industrial clerk and one year of practical experience in this profession, I left Sauerland in 2003 to attend the University of Applied Science in Cologne where I was one of the pioneers of the new bachelor program in “multilingual communication.” At the university, I chose English and Spanish as my language combination. During a 3-year course of study, I completed a semester abroad in Las Palmas in the Grand Canary Islands. After this, I decided to pursue a Master’s degree in “Terminology and Language Technology,” another newly created course of study, which was adapted to modern day requirements. In this course, the focus was on working with modern translation technologies and terminology management. Another focus of the course was the translation of technical texts, primarily from the IT field.
