Michael Heinrichs

First, a few words about myself: I was born in Cologne in 1973 and I still live close by in Kerpen. My favorite subject in highschool was always English. Because my then teacher also taught a course in "scientific English," I not only passed my university entrance exam, but I also completed professional studies as a foreign language correspondent. Since studying English at the university didn’t really appeal to me, the “translating and interpreting” course at the University of Applied Sciences in Cologne became formally available to me after I completed my alternative civilian service. Since April of 1997, I have worked as a graduate translator of English and French.

After completing my studies and a brief period of practical work at Translingua in Bonn, I started with Rheinschrift in 1997. At that time, the company still consisted of a total of 4 people with a “main house” and an “annex” on the other side of the street. Five years and one move later, we have solidified into a team of more than 20 people who not only get together at lunchtime, but who work well together
