My affinity for languages came to light while I was still at school and so my time spent reading English, American Studies and modern history, which I successfully ended with a Master’s Degree from the University of Bonn in 1996, was simply the logical consequence. Following several months spent in England and an internship in online editing at a multimedia agency in Cologne, I entered the vocational world with the intention of becoming a “lector”. Soon, I landed in the software localisation sector, where I switched to project management six years ago, following stints as a lector, a translator and a language lead. For the last 6 years, I have been dealing with projects with scopes of between 4 and 4 million words.
